WSOP Paradise’s first high buy-in tournament will feature Brazilian players on day two. And in the double-digit range. Rodrigo Seiji and Thales Barbosa have successfully secured their spots on Day 1B of the star-studded GMillion$ High Rollers, a tournament with a $25,000 purse, and will compete for another bracelet for their country.
Two qualifying matches will take place for the Brazilian combination to advance to the second round. Seiji has the best location. Seiji performed well in 281 games, finishing in the top 10 in chips and finishing seventh out of a total of 43 qualifiers
The 9Tales star collected 2,750,000 chips and about 45 blinds to secure the title. Thales Barbosa, meanwhile, has 1,520,000 in chips, just over 25 blinds, and will also be playing Day 2 of the tournament. The leader on Day 1B is Ukraine’s Renat Bohdanov, who advances with 4,105,000 chips.
With a total of 533 registered entrants, the GGMillion$ High Roller will return on Day 2 with 80 qualifiers at 30,000 / 60,000 blinds. The prize pool has not yet been announced, but the winner is sure to get another nice win. The overall chip leader was Jason Koon, who finished with 6,000,000 chips.
