The “Year of the Nachos” is really in full swing. The Argentine, currently the leader of the Card Player leaderboard, will be the first South American to join the US Cardroom ambassador team. On the team, he has the support of such fine stars as Chris Moorman, Chris Moneymaker, Ana Marquez and Jon Van Fleet.
Nacho has been using the ACR patch since early March, but only announced his retirement this week. In an interview with CodigoPoker, he said his recent success in big series has helped him tackle the site.
“Now things are going in my favor and I’m starting to do a lot of shows. So ACR CEO Phill Nagy offered this deal and I took it. I wanted to get more involved and do more things in poker, so this The proposal looked perfect,” the former WSOP champion explained.
Nacho also played for over 17 years at PokerStars and Aconcagua Poker. Not only is he the most successful Argentine in live competition, but he is also the only three-time champion in LAPT history.
If you’re a “gindar” at the ACR, you’ll spot Nacho nicknamed “Travisrice.”
